A full-bodied, smooth and balanced Primitivo

Bright ruby red with faint garnet edges. The nose is deep and elegant, packed with ripe dark cherries and plums, layered over warm spices like ginger and anise with just a whisper of toasted oak. The palate is dry and full-bodied, offering a smooth texture with refined tannins and a bright, balancing freshness. The finish is long and lingers with a great spicy kick.

STORY BEHIND THE WINE

Produttori di Manduria is Puglia's oldest cooperative, set up in 1932 with just 17 growers, who, nowadays have over 400 members who collectively, cultivate more than 2,000 hectares of vines. Many of them are small growers and farm organically. The winery showcases the rich wine heritage of the Puglia region and is renowned for producing high-quality wines from the Primitivo grape, especially Primitivo di Manduria. In 2020 Produttori di Manduria was awarded the Tre Bicchieri by Gambero Rosso.
