Pure, precise and beautifully mineral Douro Branco

On the nose, it’s lifted and aromatic, with delicate white florals, citrus zest and crisp orchard fruit underpinned by a distinct stony character. The palate is lively yet gently textured, revealing flavours of lemon, green apple and a hint of ripe stone fruit, all carried by bright acidity and a refreshing saline edge. The finish is clean, dry and persistent, with a fine mineral line.

    • Blend of blend of classic local varieties, Rabigato, Malvasia Fina, Gouveio and Códega do Larinho
    • Fermented with native yeasts
    • Matured on fine lees in stainless steel
Cellaring:  Drinks well now through 2034
Food Pairing: Excellent with grilled fish, fresh shellfish, or crisp garden salads. It is also a wonderful match for lightly spiced dishes | 🌡️ Serve at around 10°C

    STORY BEHIND THE WINE

Pormenor is a boutique, independent winery in Portugal's Douro Valley, started by winemaker Pedro Coelho. The project centers on making wines that offer a clear, precise snapshot of the terroir, focusing on old-vine, high-altitude plots scattered throughout the Cima Corgo and Douro Superior sub-regions.

True to its name - which translates to "detail" - the winery takes a highly meticulous yet low-intervention approach. In both the vineyard and cellar, the process is kept as natural as possible: fermentations rely on native yeasts, extractions are gentle, and oak aging is kept to a minimum to protect the wine's innate purity. While the Douro is often associated with big, heavy styles, Pormenor intentionally delivers a more restrained and graceful alternative, defined by freshness, elegance, and a genuine sense of place.
