STORY BEHIND THIS WINE
Les Bosquets des Papes has been a working vineyard in Chateauneuf du Pape since 1860. Founded by the Boiron family, the domaine has been owned by the same family for 6 generations.
Bosquets des Papes Chateauneuf du Pape Tradition comes from a blend of about 75% Grenache with 11% Syrah, 10% Mourvedre and various grapes in the blend. The terroir is rocks, stones, sand and clay. The vines are located all over the appellation as you will see.
The vines are planted in the Barbe d’Asne, Bois de Boursan, le Bosquets, les Esqueirons, les Gardiole, la Grandes Serres, Mont Pertuis, Mont Redon, Pignan and les Terres Blanches lieux-dits. The production is close to 3,400 cases per year.
The wine is aged in foudres, demi-muids and tank for 12 months.
A nice red purple colour with shiny highlights. On the nose, this Châteauneuf-du-Pape spreads aromas of little red berries. It has a sweeping silky smooth mouth.
