A Chianti Rufina of Exceptional Expressive Balance

The Nipozzano 2020 features a ruby red color of medium intensity and remarkable clarity. Upon olfaction, it unveils intense fruity fragrances of berries and cherries, succeeded by the clear floral tones of violet. Its profile is rejuvenating and balsamic, offering delightful spicy accents of pepper, nutmeg, and roasted Arabica coffee. In taste, it delivers a satisfying and harmonious blend, characterised by its freshness, fruitiness, and mineral qualities, all underpinned by a dense and silky tannic framework. Food Pairing:Red meat dishes, such as roasts, steaks and braised meats. Even game dishes, such as wild boar and rabbit. Aged Pecorino or Parmagiano.

STORY BEHIND THE WINE

Upon harvest, the grapes were immediately transported to the winery. There, after destemming, spontaneous fermentation occurred in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Following this phase, the wine remained in the vats to complete the maceration process. After the wine was drawn off, malolactic fermentation took place, also conducted in stainless steel. At the end of the year, the wine was transferred to barriques, where it aged for the following months. An additional period of bottle aging allowed the Nipozzano 2020 to fully express itself, resulting in a wine of exceptional expressive balance.
