A Champagne with exquisite balance of crisp freshness and indulgent depth

"A beautifully weighted and pure NV Champagne from Jean-Baptiste Lécaillon. Hits all the right spots. Plenty of weight and creamy texture, balanced by precise, focused fruit flavours, a super-fine mousse and freshening, lingering acidity on the finish. The Collection project goes from strength to strength."
    -Jancis Robinson

    • Blend of 54% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir, 11% Pinot Meunier
    • Jancis Robinson | 17.5/20 Pts

Food Pairing: Fresh seafood including oysters, caviar, butter-poached lobster, and seared sea scallops. STORY BEHIND THE WINE

Louis Roederer is one of the last independent, family run Champagne houses. They own 240 hectares in the Grands and Premiers Crus areas of the Marne valley. The three traditional grape varieties all bring their own traits to the wine. Chardonnay for its minerality and finesse; Pinot Noir adds structure.and Petit Meunier to add harmony and softness.

Crafting a seamless harmony across Champagne's premier regions, Louis Roederer Collection 246 brings together equal parts from the estate’s sustainably farmed vineyards and select partner growers in the Vallée de la Marne, Montagne de Reims, and Côte des Blancs. Marking the house’s 246th blend, this sophisticated multi-vintage cuvée is grounded in the 2021 harvest (55%), enriched by a perpetual reserve spanning 2012–2020 (35%), and finished with oak-aged reserve wines from 2012–2017 (10%). With 24% of the blend vinified in oak and 30% undergoing malolactic fermentation, it achieves a beautifully rounded complexity, concluding with a subtle 7 g/L dosage that delivers an exquisite balance of crisp freshness and indulgent depth. The final assembly brings together 54% Chardonnay for finesse and elegance, 35% Pinot Noir for structure, and 11% Meunier for added roundness
