STORY BEHIND THIS WINE
2017 could be described as a difficult vintage for red Bordeaux winemakers, coming as it did sandwiched between the excellent 2016 and 2018. But this reaped some unexpected benefits and this wine is one example. Château Angludet is one of the most notable wineries in the Margaux commune and La Dame is normally their 2nd wine. They made the decision not to create a Grand Vin this year and instead focus all their efforts into this expression. The result is sumptuous and ethereal, proving that every cloud has a silver lining.
