    STORY BEHIND THE LABEL

Jean-Claude Boisset is a family-founded Burgundy winery established in 1961 in Nuits-Saint-Georges, France. Known for artisan, terroir-driven wines, it focuses on minimal-intervention winemaking using native yeasts and small-lot vinification. Today it forms part of the Boisset Collection, led by the second generation of the family. Grégory Patriat, vinicultarist, signs the wines of the Maison, a collection that represents both the most prestigious climats, and the most exclusive. They are the fruit of intense viniculture and traditional, non-interventionist vinification in the Ursulines winery in
    Nuits-Saint-Georges.

The 2023 vintage required intensive vineyard work and two rounds of hand-sorting to ensure quality. After a September hand-harvest, the grapes were destemmed, gravity-fed into tanks, and macerated for twenty days with gentle punch-downs and pumping over. This Pinot Noir underwent short aging specifically to preserve the vibrant fruit and fresh character of the vintage.
