STORY BEHIND THIS WINE

With over 120 hectares of vines, on some of the highest vineyards in the Northern hemisphere and a $12 million winery, these are producers of note in a country with a long history of winemaking. The name Ixsir derives from the original Arabic word for “Elixir”. The choice for the wineries name wasn’t an accident. Farmed organically and sustainably, the unique combination of history, topography and climate come together to produce distinct offerings. The French influence is notable here. This magical potion has a touch of the Rhone about it and is a great introduction to Lebanese wine.
