Fresh and delicately framed Grignolino d'Asti - A true hidden gem of Northern Italy

In the glass, it displays a clear, brilliant, almost transparent ruby red color, typical of the grape variety. The bouquet is refined and fragrant, with notes of fresh rose, violet, wild strawberry, pomegranate, and crisp cherry, complemented by delicate spicy nuances of white pepper and aromatic herbs. On the palate, it is fresh, subtle, and dynamic, supported by delicate yet present tannins that give character and momentum to the drink.

    • 100% Grignolino
    • Fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks for 8 days
    • Aged in stainless steel for several months before bottling in the spring
    Cellaring:  Perfect now
Food Pairing: Exceptional with charcuterie board classics like Prosciutto di Parma and finocchiona, or warm duck liver parfait. It also pairs wonderfully with wild mushroom crostini, wood-fired margherita pizza, or a roast chicken or pan-seared pork chops. | 🌡️ The wine should be served slightly chilled, at around 14°C to 16°C.

    STORY BEHIND THE WINE

Francesco Rinaldi & Figli is one of the truly great names in Piedmont, situated in the iconic town of Barolo. Established in 1870, the estate boasts a long and illustrious history. After founder Giovanni Rinaldi constructed the original winery and cellar, management passed to his youngest son, Francesco, in 1922. Today, Francesco’s grandnieces, Paola and Piera, run the historic estate. While remaining deeply proud of their traditional roots, they have broadened the winery's horizons to showcase the full, vibrant diversity of the region.

Beyond their classic Barolos, the estate crafts a stellar expression ofGrignolino -a rare black grape variety grown almost exclusively in and around the town of Asti in Italy’s Piemonte region. Known for its delicate colour, vibrant freshness, and subtle structure, it is a true hidden gem of Northern Italy.
