STORY BEHIND THIS WINE
The Irish love affair with red Rioja is well documented but there is a mistaken belief that the Ribera del Duero is simply an extension of that region. While both are masters of Tempranillo, the more extreme climatic differences produce in Ribera del Duero a distinctly deeper and more full-bodied expression. The Emilio Moro Bodega here is noteworthy in that it has a research and development department with Tempranillo as its focus. Very few know the grape better, in a region marked by its distinction.
