STORY BEHIND THIS WINE

The terroir of the Spitzerberg could be described as Austria’s answer to Burgundy in terms its geological history and makeup. Ina further nod to Burgundy, winemakers here are noted for producing wines that are defined by their elegance. Blaufränkisch is the key grape variety. A rising star in the wine world, expect to see more and more of it on our shores in the near future. Working in tandem with Syrah, this is one of our more interesting blends. Give it time in the glass and its distinctive complexity will unfold and captivate you.
