Luscious and Vibrant Bourgogne Tonnerre

From the moment you open it, you can perceive the rather rich and expressive character of the appellation. Notes of quite ripe white fruits mark the tasting. Tonnerre also has the advantage of having a limestone subsoil which provides the necessary balance to achieve a tension that takes over in the middle of the mouth to lengthen the finish.

25% aged in French oak for 12 months

Food Pairing: Excellent with fresh oysters, grilled langoustines, sea bass, sole meunière, scallops with brown butter, baked salmon, creamy mushroom risotto, roast chicken with garlic and herbs, veal blanquette, escargots de Bourgogne, mild goat cheese, aged Comté, and simple vegetable crudités. | 🌡️ Serve the wine between 10-12°C

STORY BEHIND THE WINE

The family-run estate in Chablis, Burgundy is led by brothers Arnaud and David Lavantureux and is one of the most respected domaines in Chablis. Their Tonnerre vineyard is located on the banks of the Armançon river. These plots are all located in the commune of Epineuil where the subsoil is similar to that of Chablis, but the surface limestone is more crumbly and chalky, which contributes to a more luscious style than their Chablis wines, as well as a taut and vibrant finish.
