Gerard Seguin’s grandfather, Alexis Seguin, was one of the pioneers of grafting American rootstocks following the Phylloxera crisis of the 1880’s. Gerard now manages the estate with his son Jerome and they have built up an estate of 6.25 hectares . Fixin is less well known than its famous neighbours on the Côte de Nuits but can compete with any of them.
