This is what Mâcon wine is all about!
Floral and nutty aromas initially. Ripe fruit with rich buttery tones. A briny seaside tang with a long juicy palate. A fresh, fruity wine with elegant minerality.
Food Pairing: Mixed salads, sushis, poultry and veal in cream sauce.
Cellaring: Ideal to drink now.
* "This 100% Chardonnay wine has Southern ripeness, also a touch of toasted nuts, a buttery richness and a definite mineral streak. Clearly a bargain." Tom Doorley, Irish Daily Mail, 14/11/21
STORY BEHIND THIS WINE
The vineyards of Domaine Carrette are spread over 32 acres in 40 parcels in Mâcon. The philosophy of the Domaine is outlined by the enologist Jacques Puisais: “Whether great or not, a good wine has the taste of its birthplace and the guts of the guy who made it”. This wine comes from Berzé-la-Ville, from ten-year old vines.
