On the nose, Dingle Original Gin opens with vibrant, resinous juniper balanced by fresh rowanberry, sweet fuchsia, and bright citrus blossom. On the palate, the entry is exceptionally clean and balanced, unfolding in lush layers of piney juniper, fresh angelica root, and subtle peppermint, balanced by a distinct herbaceous undertone. The finish is remarkably long, crisp, and refreshing, leaving a lingering warmth with delicate echoes of citrus peel and wild Kerry flora.

STORY BEHIND THE LABEL

Crafted at the edge of Europe on Ireland’s rugged Wild Atlantic Way, Dingle Gin is produced at the independent Dingle Distillery in County Kerry. Conceived by Oliver Hughes, Liam LaHart, and Peter Mosley, Dingle was a pioneer in the revival of independent Irish craft distilling. Their award-winning gin is created by macerating a unique combination of local, wild botanicals - including rowanberry from the mountain ash, fuchsia, bog myrtle, hawthorn, and heather - directly in their custom-built copper pot still, "Oisín." The result is an authentic, category-defining Irish gin that captures the true essence and coastal terroir of the Dingle Peninsula.

An excellent selection to suit every pocket

Always a treat to have a coffee and a browse in Whelehans Wines . The Beauchene wines are a family favourite and the Bouvet Cremant is excellent value . A must have for celebrations ! Very helpful advice always from the knowledgeable team . So many delicious wines to try - it is always fun trying a new one .
Also the accessible parking is a huge plus .

Fantastic gift

Selecting and sending a fine wine gift to a cherished friend in Ireland could not have been easier with Whelehans. There is a variety of unique wines to choose from on the website. Communication was prompt and courteous, gift was delivered the next day even though I had paid for regular delivery.

Too dry for me and family

We had this with a Sunday roast beef and although we love Rioja’s we were all disappointed with it. We’re no experts but we do enjoy our wines. This was just very dry and just not good.

What’s not to like.

Placed order on a Sunday night. Acknowledged immediately. Conformation order being processed, packed and ready for distribution on Monday .Delivered in very secure packaging, efficiently and pleasantly by A Post on Tuesday. What’s not to like.
