One of the best Bordeaux Blend from Argentina!

"A creamy red with bark, beetroot, black cherries, mulberries and iodine on the nose. This has a medium to full body and well-integrated tannins. Savory and polished. Drink or hold."
    -Claire Nesbitt

"Garnet red in the glass. The nose offers ripe fruit such as redcurrant and blackberry with hints of India ink and secondary aromas from the aging process, as well as a whiff of mint. Vigorous in the mouth, the finely grained, slightly reactive tannins sustain the medium-bodied palate and fruity finish."
    -Vinous

    • Blend of 52% Malbec, 21% Merlot, 14% Petit Verdot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Syrah
    • James Suckling | 92 pts

    • 60% aged for 12 months in French oak barrels

    STORY BEHIND THE WINE

Founded in 1999, the Cuvelier Los Andes estate spans 55 hectares of prime Mendoza terroir. While Malbec is the star of the show, the estate also cultivates Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, and Petit Verdot. This diverse planting allows them to craft their own exceptional signature blends, while also contributing top-tier fruit to the renowned Clos de los Siete project. Rooted in stony, alluvial gravel soils, the vines thrive in Mendoza’s warm, dry climate, perfectly balanced by the cooling night breezes rolling off the Andes mountains.

The 2019 vintage in the Uco Valley is considered exceptional and "superb", characterised by a cold, dry growing season that produced concentrated, balanced, and high-quality wines. Often compared to 2016 for its freshness, the 2019 wines feature vibrant natural acidity, optimal tannin structure, and high phenolic maturity.
