"Beautiful, detailed nose, at once herbal and floral, with Parma violets hovering over sage and black olive tapenade. Fennel, oregano and cardamom piercing through the fleshy cherry and plum fruit. Smoky roasted tomatoes add savoury appeal. Assertive yet fine tannins and refreshing acid backbone."

STORY BEHIND THE WINE

Collemassari is one of Italy’s top wineries and in 2014 was voted winery of the year by the authoritative Gambero Rosso. This particularly beautiful and important winery owned by the Tipa family is located in the Montecucco DOC area of Tuscany. Set around a restored 13th-century castle, it focuses on organic farming and sustainable practices producing elegant Sangiovese-based wines.
