It reminds me to Burgundy. Mineral, lovely acidity, and tropical fruits.

This bright wine boasts a beautiful dark burgundy red colour. The nose combines aromas of black pepper, candied mandarin peel and blackberry. Dense and mouth-coating, the palate seduces with the finesse of its tannins, its balance and its smooth feel. Very supple, this wine harmoniously unveils subtle vanilla notes, leading to a finish marked by aromas of ripe jam.

Located in the Moulis appellation, in the heart of the Médoc, Château Chasse-Spleen was founded in 1720. Its name “Chasse-Spleen,” acquired in 1863, is inspired by Anglo-Saxon culture and Baudelaire. The estate has been managed since 2000 by Céline Villars.
Chasse Spleen produces some of the best Médoc wines, despite the fact that the Château does not appear in the 1855 ranking. This often makes them excellent value for money.
