    STORY BEHIND THE WINE

Crafted as the second label of the historic Médoc estate, the 2018 Chapelle de Potensac captures the quintessential balance of refined structure and fragrant complexity. The property spans 70 hectares across the central Médoc, where the vines thrive on elevated plots of clay and gravel over a limestone foundation. This domain boasts a unique lineage, traditionally passed through the maternal line, and is currently under the stewardship of Jean-Hubert Delon.

The 2018 growing season began with a cool, lingering winter that slowed early vine development, but gave way to a remarkably warm and dry summer. These ideal conditions, paired with cooling evening temperatures, allowed for perfect fruit maturation, resulting in a wine that is both opulent in body and vibrantly fresh.
