    STORY BEHIND THE WINE

Kamil Barczentewicz is a family-run winery in Dobre, Poland , founded in 2017, with 12 hectares of vines. The vineyard sits on limestone-marl-clay slopes, 3 km from the Vistula River, benefiting from a microclimate with strong temperature swings. Wine-making is low-intervention: spontaneous ferments, ageing in concrete eggs, oak vats & barrels.

The season started fairly late (bud burst around April 27). A cool beginning and moderately warm growing season resulted in wines with slightly lower alcohol and well-integrated acidity. A challenging, cool, and rainy September was followed by a relatively warm October.
