Stellar Barbaresco that sets a new benchmark for Piemonte

Big on structure, rich and spicy. A wine now starting to show its true potential after the harmonizing benefits of time. Long and deep on the palate with linear tannins, ripe strawberry, orange peel, red cherries and plums. Theres a toasted oak flavours of vanilla, chocolate and exotic spices along with that distinctive Nebbiolo "tar" profile. Solid and phenomenal. Decant minimum 2 hours beforehand.

STORY BEHIND THIS WINE

Barbaresco, Barolos delightful yet still punchy little sibling. Quite apart from its distinguished flavour profile, one of the reasons that makes Nebbiolo such an intriguing grape is that it requires absolute mastery in the vineyard and winery. A heavy dose of family tradition plays its part too. The Cesares of Alba are regarded standard bearers for the grape. With an emphasis on quality before quantity, less than 7000 bottles of this were produced. Need I say more?
