Fresh, Fruity & Floral Unoaked Chardonnay from the Maconnais 

A crisp, unoaked expression of Chardonnay. Employing stainless steel tanks, they maintain the delicate aromas and flavours, resulting in a Chardonnay that exudes freshness and liveliness, showcasing gentle white stone fruit, citrus, and melon notes accompanied by floral nuances. It culminates in a lingering, finely textured finish.

STORY BEHIND THE WINE

Uchizy is a small village in the northern part of the Maconnais, where the flat, rich alluvial plain beside the Saone River starts to rise towards the limestone outcrops to the West. The Talmard family produces only one wine, made from 100% Chardonnay and fermented entirely in tank. They believe that the combination of the rich, clayey soil, interspersed with mineral deposits produces a wine of such interesting, pure fruit flavours that any wood ageing would only serve to mar it.
