“30% whole bunch vinification instead of 50%. Vinified without sulphur. Black colour with a purple edge, like the regular Marsannay but more so, this is even richer, even tighter, a little higher in alcohol, so it may be too much of an experience but it is stunning in its way and the fruit remains crunchy. I think this will work."

STORY BEHIND THE WINE

The craft of viticulture has been in the Derey family's genes since 1650, when the family first made their mark in the Burgundy vineyards.In 1850, Claude Derey founded the estate in the commune of Couchey. Since then, six generations have carried on the tradition, expanding the estate through new acquisitions of these clay-limestone soils, the cradle of all great Burgundy wines.Today, the estate covers 20 hectares, spread across the communes of Dijon, Marsannay, Fixin, and Gevrey Chambertin

Ah Sauvignon...Easy to drink, easy on the pallet.

Very nice white wine. I enjoyed it both ways. Simply having a glass with friends while we chatted and equally well while eating a lovely meal with my husband. Subtle on the pallet and no sharp after aftertaste. I wish people would tell you that! Would highly recommend. Enjoy...drink sensibly.
