    STORY BEHIND THE WINE

    M. Chapoutier stands as an undisputed giant of the Rhône Valley, with a history stretching back to 1808. While their vineyard holdings are vast - spanning the Rhône and reaching as far as Australia - the crucial turning point was the arrival of Michel Chapoutier in 1990. His uncompromising dedication to biodynamic viticulture -eschewing all herbicides and pesticides and fostering biodiversity - catapulted the estate back to the top echelon. Today, Chapoutier owns Europe’s largest biodynamic vineyard, and its commitment is evident, even extending to featuring Braille on all labels since the mid-1990s. Driven by Michel’s energy and continuous acquisition of prime sites, Chapoutier consistently produces some of the Rhône's most iconic and revered wines.
