A Haut-Medoc of pure pleasure!

A dark ruby red wine that expresses aromas of wild strawberries and redcurrant punctuated with subtle notes of menthol. Its voluptuous, enveloping texture is reminiscent of blends in which Merlot predominates. An effect achieved through Cabernet Sauvignons at full maturity associated with ripe, but not overripe, Merlots creating a sense of opulence and smoothness in the mouth. The structure is beautifully soft, caressing the mouth with perfectly integrated tannins that melt on the finish to leave centre stage to exquisite red fruit once more.

Cellaring: Drink now to 2039

Food Pairing:Delicious with a dry-aged ribeye with a red wine reduction, a rosemary-studded leg of lamb, or a hearty venison loin served with earthy root vegetables. Also very good with a classic cassoulet. For a cheese course, an aged Comté or a hard, salty Mimolette works well | 🌡️ The wine should be served between 16°C to 18°C

STORY BEHIND THE WINE

Following a long period of decline, Château Larose Perganson was brought back to life in 1986 by the owners of Château Larose Trintaudon, who set out to restore the estate’s historic prestige. They have since become pioneers in green viticulture, earning 'Vignoble Responsable' certification in 1999 and becoming the first vineyard in Europe to be rated 'exemplary' for sustainability in 2010. The 35-hectare vineyard is planted on prime gravel soils with vines averaging 35 years of age. By maintaining a high-density approach of 10,000 vines per hectare, the team keeps yields naturally low, ensuring the final wine is packed with remarkable character and flavour intensity.
