For Spanish enthusiasts we would have a particularly wide offering from Rioja and the Ribera del Duero. In Rioja, we are delighted to work closely with Bodegas de la Marquesa (Valserrano) in the Rioja Alavesa whose wines capture that perfect point between leathery/savoury old style Rioja and the newer fruiter styles of Rioja. Tim Atkin often rates their wines very highly. 

We of course carry some of the big names like Baron de Ley, Remelluri, Muga, Rioja Alta.  In Ribera del Duero we have lots of the well known guys and for good reason. Protos, Emilio Moro, Pesquera, Vega Sicilia, Arzuaga…

As we all know there are many other DO’s offering some real excitement such as the wines of Bierzo where the Mencia grape can deliver a really juicy lower alcohol style. The Biodynamic wines of Joan d’Anguera in Monsant will amaze the Grenache enthusiast.  For those who want a bigger, richer style  the wines of Priorat are a must For fans of the Tempranillo grape but don’t want to pay the prices of Rioja or Ribera del Duero don’t forget to explore the wines of Navarra. 

On the white side the Albarino grape and the Godello grape are currently kingpin. We carry a wide range of both of these grape varietals. Terras Gauda O Rosal predominantly Albarino has a little Loureiro blended into it which definitely adds an extra dimension. Sin Palabras has a bit of a following with the ever popular Rula having a huge following. When it comes to Godello, Bodegas Rafael Palacios 'Louro' is a genuine showstopper. It’s a fantastic expression of the grape, but if you’re looking to truly push the boat out, their 'As Sortes' is the ultimate step up.
