Spanning 13.076 hectares, 1er Cru "Les Suchots" is situated on an east-facing slope at an altitude of 290-345 meters, featuring deep, fine, and very clayey soils. The "Suchots" appellation references the area's past as a cleared woodland, named after the 'stumps' left behind, prior to vine cultivation.
