Full-bodied, muscular and still retaining dense purple hues. Aromatics of crushed violet, blackcurrant, damson and cassis. The palate is broad with tobacco leaf, cedar, smoke and a mélange of spices. With tannins still retaining a gentle grip this is a concentrated, classic Bordeaux.
Food Pairing: Braised lamb shanks, spiced shepherds pie or filet mignon with gratin dauphinoise
Cellaring: Now to 2045
