A lovely fruity taste. Kept on drinking over several glasses.

It reminds me to Burgundy. Mineral, lovely acidity, and tropical fruits.

Intense garnet robe. The nose develops notes of balsamic, ink, and pencil lead. The wine is structured, balanced, and indulgent with a spicy touch and beautiful black fruit. It offers a powerful and dense sensation and a long finish.

Thomas Barton left his homeland of Ireland in 1722 and started a new life as a wine merchant in Bordeaux. His grandson inherited his passion for wine and acquired 50 hectares of vineyards in St Julien in 1826. This was the beginning of Leoville Barton, a prestigious wine estate. This second wine of Chateau Leoville Barton is made from younger vines making it more approachable than the Grand Vin!
