CHÂTEAU DE COULAINE CHINON ROUGE, 2021

"THIS is from a feted family vineyard that has been crafting wines for over 700 years. The fruit is organically farmed, and hand harvested, with minimal intervention during fermentation.

What you get is a deeply concentrated wine that is fresh and savoury, firm tannins highlighted by blackberry and blueberry notes, along with hints of spice and herbs. "

Enjoy with: Chicken Marsala.

BONNAVENTURE CHÂTEAU DE COULAINE CHINON ROUGE, 2019

"A PERFECT sample of Chinon.

The fruit comes from 30-year-old vines, and has a delightful floral nose.

The plate is full-bodied and intense a dense red colour and notes of plum, blackberry, cherry, and herbs on a palate with medium acidity a little earthiness, spice, and restrained tannins.

Wonderful wine."

Enjoy with: Roast lamb.
