"Weingut Pfeffingen is a winery with a history dating back around 250 years. Its Terra Rossa Riesling Spätlese Trocken 2021 (€27) has a relatively mild nose at first, streamlined and pure with clean apple fruit and a hint of chalky minerality.
"Terra rossa" means red earth, caused by high iron content in the soil which gives this wine a unique mineral supply and shapes its characteristics. Crisp, dry and underpinned by a delicious texture and weight, it is balanced with zesty acidity and a mineral finish."
