Juicy, full-bodied red that's drinking well now and has great ageing potential
The fragrance and juiciness stand out here with fresh black and red cherries, blackcurrant and plums. Tannins are fine grained with the oak ageing adding distinct vanilla undertones with a touch of smoke. Full-bodied with pronounced aromatics, well integrated structure and a silky texture to back it all up.

STORY BEHIND THIS WINE
One thing that many leading Portuguese winemakers have in common is their faith in the potential of the country’s many native grape varieties. The family-run winery of Quinta dos Roques are no exception. They are considered masters at creating exceptional blends from a variety of indigenous grapes. The Dão is a region on the rise, in large part thanks to this family-run winery. This red is one of their flagship bottlings and will satisfy both the early drinker well as the diligent collector.
