STORY BEHIND THIS WINE
Sourced from plots of 45-year old vines, this is one of the standout wines from Filliatreau, one of the Loire’s most distinctive estates. The winery is 100% organic since 2020 and is in the process of converting fully to biodynamic practices. To commit to this in a region with a maritime climate is a testament to the estate’s principle of letting nature do all the talking. Yields are kept low here to emphasise the crunchy red fruit profile. 2018 was an excellent vintage for this producer and the result speaks for itself.
