The wine is a dark, deep violet beast. Aromas and flavours of ripe blackcurrant and plums with a hint of licorice and anise. A charming character has also developed, adding a touch of chocolate to the aroma and palate.

The "Espinasses 2019" was entirely fermented in the vineyards in an open 1000L fermenter. It was exposed to the elements so that the natural yeasts on the vine could ferment the wine.
Isla and Paul Gordon, the owners of Domaine La Sarabande both started out working in the wine industry in New Zealand. Isla studied and learned her skills from some of New Zealand’s best viticulturists. She has gone on to apply this in her very own vineyards in the Faugéres appellation, where her passion and knowledge of the terroir and vines are intrinsic to the winemaking process at La Sarabande. Paul complements Isla with his winemaking skills!
