STORY BEHIND THE WINE
With roots stretching back to the early 1700s, Château Laffitte Carcasset is a quintessential Saint-Estèphe benchmark surrounded by some of the most prestigious names in Bordeaux. The Rousseau family took the reins of this Cru Bourgeois property in 2016, overseeing 35 hectares of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot planted across a prime gravelly plateau. These vines yield wines that really capture the character of the appellation, balancing aromatic complexity and deep fruit with the classic structure and power that Saint-Estèphe is known for. It’s a serious, age-worthy red that shows exactly why this estate remains such a reliable reference point for the region.
