Dark ruby, purple reflections, deep core, brightening on the rim. Inviting dark fruit of blueberries, ripe cherries, some liquorice and nougat, fine oak notes in the background. Juicy, elegant, fresh plums, fine acidity, integrated tannins, mineral-salty, chocolate touch on the finish.

STORY BEHIND THE WINE

Boasting a history that dates back to the 13th century, the Château d'Agassac estate is located at the entrance of the Médoc region, on the left bank of Bordeaux.
For over 8 centuries, this estate has witnessed a significant expansion thanks to the involvement of various illustrious families (Gaillard de Gassac, Pommiers, Richier and Gasqueton). The insurance company Groupama acquired the estate in 1996, and since 2021 it has been taken over by the family group, Beautiful Life, founded by Gérard Jicquel, who has also owned Château Fourcas-Dupré (Listrac) since 2019.
Named as a Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel in 2020, Château d'Agassac is renowned for its wines that harmoniously combine a powerful and balanced expression with fine tannins and a complex and refined aromatic framework. Enjoying a rich philosophy that revolves around innovation and carrying out a never-ending pursuit of excellence, Château d'Agassac's uniqueness is particularly due to its bottles, whose cork has been replaced by a screw cap since 2004.
