Balanced & Complex Red Wine From Faugeres

This wine has a rich and deep ripe cherry appearance. Aromas of oven baked black cherries, roasted peanuts, leather and nutmeg spices. The palate is still dominated by cherries but there are some pretty characters of strawberries, dried herbs and pepper combined with fine tannins. The wine ends up dry but a balanced acidity helps to lengthen the palate.

• Blend of 75% Grenache,15% Syrah,10% Mourvèdre

STORY BEHIND THE WINE

Domaine La Sarabande was founded in 2009 in France's Faugères region by Isla Gordon from Ireland and her Australian husband, Paul. Over the years, they have revitalised several vineyards, witnessing the remarkable transformation of the vines and soil when cultivated organically and cared by hand.
