Deep ruby red in colour, it is lively, with the intensity softened by slight traces of purple. It has an intense, ethereal bouquet featuring the bitterish flavour of licorice, withered roses, and warm, spicy aromas.

STORY BEHIND THE WINE

This beautiful family estate founded in 1864 and located in the heart of the Barolo wine , now run by Claudio Fenocchio and his young family. Long post-fermentation times counter-intuitively leading to smoother more elegant and accessible wines. Although not yet certified as organic, the winery are participating in the European project that encourages sustainable agriculture and they follow agricultural practices passed down through generations.
