A beautiful, glittering crimson; the wine has a complex and seductive nose with aromas of black fruit, especially black cherry, violet, and vanilla. Richly flavoured and remarkably well-balanced, it opens with notes of black fruit and subtle spice, which fill out on an ample and complex mid-palate sustained by the caress of refined, silky tannins, leading into a long and elegant finish.

GRAND CRU FULL-BODY GRAVES WITH POLISHED TANNINS,

A red with depth and focus, showing blackberries, chocolate and black olives. Some smoky undertones. Some fresh herbs, too. It’s full-bodied, round and polished. Better than the 2018.

“In the glass, the Chateau Olivier Blanc is light yellow. The nose is very expressive with citrus notes. The attack is lively with citrus flavours present, peach. In the mouth, the wine is wonderfully fresh with a mineral, somewhat spicy aftertaste. The finish is long and the fruity notes remain. 2018 was a very good to excellent vintage in Bordeaux and this a rich, robust wine with plenty of dark fruit given extra dimensions by aromas of cedar and tobacco supported by ripe tannins that add length and will help the wine age.
