The colour is light, giving an initial impression of delicacy that aligns with Tenuta di Carleone’s elegant house style. But don't be fooled  - this wine has depth. The tannins are refined and silky, offering structure without weight, while the nose and palate deliver classic Sangiovese character in a subtle, unforced way. It’s graceful rather than bold, yet still carries impressive concentration and authenticity.

STORY BEHIND THE WINE 

The Tenuta di Carleone Chianti Classico is made from 100% Sangiovese fermented in a combination of stainless steel, cement and open bins, and macerated for 40 to 60 days and aged 18 months in stainless steel and cement.
The whole property, which covers an area of approximately 100 hectares, comprises of wooded hills, small rivers and fertile plains. Nestled in between there are around 30 ha of mainly Sangiovese vineyards and some olive trees, some of them older than 60 years.
