Why Buy Me
This Puligny 1er Cru is all about minerality and length. This is an elegant and poised wine with superb precision and depth.
'La Garenne' is a Premier Cru vineyard located just west of Puligny-Montrachet village, beside the Saint-Aubin commune boundary. It is a small vineyard with a surface of only 0.14 ha located at the top of the slopes and was planted in the 1950s. The vines are guyot trained and planted on calcareous soil. Domaine Etienne Sauzet practices sustainable viticulture and all vineyard work, such as debudding to control yield and open up the canopy, is done by hand.
91 Points Robert Parker: "Medium to full-bodied, it's satiny and enveloping, with a pretty core of fruit, lively acids and chalky back-end grip." Feb 2020
17.5 Points Jancis Robinson: "Flinty, ripe, generously fruited and thickly textured. Better balance than their Champ Gain, for me, with more harmonious fruit integration, especially on the finish." Jan 2020
