It reminds me to Burgundy. Mineral, lovely acidity, and tropical fruits.

A crisp, dry and well structured white reminiscent of the classic Sauvignons of the central Loire Valley. Full of incisive citrus fruit character, lifted herbaceous aromatics and cleansing acidity.
Cellaring: Drink now when young.
Food Pairing: It will be appreciated as an aperitif or with seafood or fish.
This is from Jean-Pierre Sauvion, who almost single handedly is bringing the historic Haut-Poitou appellation back from near extinction. Based close to the city of Poitiers it is one of the most southerly Loire appellations and one that enjoys a good level of sunshine. Sauvignon Blanc is the key white grape here and in the last decade the wine quality has rocketed.
