A lovely fruity taste. Kept on drinking over several glasses.
heard Jean Smullen give glowing review on Moncrieff's Movies & Booze segment on Newstalk. She was spot on!
It reminds me to Burgundy. Mineral, lovely acidity, and tropical fruits.

"Black-plum, dried-herb, tobacco and some meaty aromas. It’s medium-to full-bodied with firm, fine tannins. Savory and salty finish. Tight and layered. Drink from 2023."

The Grand Vin of Château Lanessan, a magnificent property built in 1878 located in the Haut-Médoc, on the left bank of Bordeaux immediately south of Saint-Julien . During the early 19th Century it was considered unofficially as one of the Fourth Growth estates of the Médoc, being named specifically in an 1815 copy of the Bordeaux directory Cocks & Féret. Lanessan, however, did not submit any wines to be classified in 1855, confident that its reputation was already secure.
