A lovely fruity taste. Kept on drinking over several glasses.
heard Jean Smullen give glowing review on Moncrieff's Movies & Booze segment on Newstalk. She was spot on!
It reminds me to Burgundy. Mineral, lovely acidity, and tropical fruits.

Château Coutet was classified a first growth in 1855. It is one of the oldest and lagest Barsac estates famed for its elegant wines with balanced sweetmess. Wines from Barsac are generally drier and lighter than Sauternes wines.
The botrytis established itself in early October and the harvest continued into November, with 23 days of harvesting in exceptional conditions. Generous aromas of orange zest, candied apricot and honey with subtle, elegant toastiness. A very rich, very concentrated wine indicitave of ideal boytritis conditions. Class and finesse with lively citrus fruits and smooth vanilla tones. A powerful finish indicates the potential of this wine. The complexity is typical of this great Barsac vintage.
