    STORY BEHIND THIS WINE

Drink Langmeil’s signature Freedom 1843 Shiraz and you are drinking a piece of history. The vines that contribute to this Shiraz come from a small 1.5 hectare plot christened “The Freedom Vineyard”. These are known to be amongst the oldest surviving Shiraz wines in the world and where the 1843 on the label comes from. As if that wasn’t enough, the owners of the vineyard (The Lindner Family) have 6 generations of experience in wine and farming to call upon. This is one of the wines that put Barossa on the map of every wine-lovers imagination. Renowned Australia wine critic James Halliday called this “ a wine you should kneel in the presence of”. We’re inclined to agree.
