STORY BEHIND THIS WINE

The Waipara region on New Zealand’s South Island is fast making a name for itself as a centre of excellence in winemaking. While much smaller in size relative to its northern neighbour Marlborough, the quality of its output has great wine connoisseurs sitting up and taking note. With a micro-climate that is drier than other wine-making regions as well as a distinctly long harvesting season, wines here have an identity all of their own. Pinot Noir works especially well here as evidenced by the list of awards to this producer’s credit.
