STORY BEHIND THIS WINE
Conte Vistarino is a large estate (800 hectares, 200 under vine) located in the far North of Italy in the Lombardy region. Given the estates proximity, inland and just south of the Italian Alps, their wines have exceptional freshness and balance. All three of their wines, which Whelehans have recently started importing (April 2021), are well worth seeking out.
Rich dark cherry, raspberry and strawberry, hints of cinnamon and spice on the nose. The palate is refined and elegant, this is text book Pinot Noir, with a touch more body and texture than Burgundian offerings at a similar price point. Fleshy and rounded.
