STORY BEHIND THIS WINE
Sella & Mosca are the most prominent producers in Sardinia. Theyve been instrumental in establishing a reputation for quality and showing potential for greater things to come from the wines on this beautiful Italian island.
Cannonau is the local name for grenache and it’s the island’s signature grape as it copes well with warm dry weather and sea winds. This is made from grapes sourced from sandy seaside vineyards as well as from the dramatic rocky inland hills. The wine is fermented on the skins at controlled temperatures before ageing for two years, as least 12 months of which were in large barrels.
