Deeply ruby red and offering up aromas of dark fruits and dried herbs. The palate is broad with a silky mouthfeel and a core of dark plums, bramble, black cherries and fresh raspberries. Notes of dried earth and mushrooms round off the mineral afterglow. Decant for 1 hour beforehand.

STORY BEHIND THIS WINE
Few regions can compete with the bounty of riches available for the wine lover in Italys Piedmonte region. While Barolo, Barberesco and Gavi grab the headlines, is not surprising Dolcetto flies in under the radar. Providing a nice counterpoint of the ageing and structure of Nebbiolo, Dolcetto comes in softer, rounder and is made for early drinking. Farmed organically, traditionally and with minimum intervention, Nicoletta Boccas Dolcetto opens slowly like a rose and will then envelop you.
