1 x CHÂTEAU DE FESLES ROSÉ D'ANJOU, 2021
Sitting in the western Loire, Anjou is an historically significant region whose reach and influence once rivalled that of Bordeaux. In the Rose d'Anjou appellation, such is their dedication to Ireland’s national summer tipple that only grapes for the production of, you’ve guessed it, Rosé are allowed. Sitting in the Loire Valley’s equivalent of the Médoc, Château de Fesles has a long and storied history in the region. Regarded as one of the top producers here, this is a very popular Rosé with good reason.
Rosé d'Anjou has an attractive salmon-pink hue with garnet highlights. Aromatically rich with wild raspberries, redcurrants and cardamon. Mellow with a creamy texture on the palate with naunces of peach, blackberry and honeysuckle. The finish is a delight with a distinctive flavour of caramelized wild strawberries.
1 x DOMAINE TOUR CAMPANETS COTEAUX D'AIX-EN-PROVENCE ROSÉ, 2021 Organic
Irish summer officially starts when you open your first bottle of Provencal Rose. Our love affair with the wine has turned into a full blown relationship in recent years and we have producers like Emmanuelle Baude to thank for that. With a combined commitment to organic farming and traditional farming methods, vintage after vintage has been lauded and awarded by her peers. Here is a wine to give your imagination a holiday in the lavender-tinged idyll that is Provence.
Pale pink with a burst of bright raspberry, strawberry and peony on the nose. Clean and well balanced, on the palate you have further concentrated flavours of orange blossom, red currants and cherries. Refreshing acidity leaves a deliciously mouth-watering finish.
1 x HERETAT MONT RUBÍ ONE NIGHTS ROSÉ, 2021 Organic & Vegan
MontRubi are ardent advocates for the native Sumoll grape variety. There is a short maceration with skin contact to produce the light colour. "Made from the sumoll grape, which is native to the Penedes DO, this organic rosé comes with a Vinolok glass closure. Along with garnacha and xarel-lo, it has beautiful floral aromas, stone fruit and an inviting minerality. On the palate it is clean and fresh, with light strawberry notes and a hint of apricot. Serve with oily fish such as salmon, light salads or risotto." Cathal McBride, The Sunday Business Post, 18/07/21
1 x DOMAINE TOUR CAMPANETS COTEAUX D'AIX-EN-PROVENCE BOIS DES FÉES ROSÉ, 2020 Organic
Domaine Tour Campanets is located in Le Puy-Sainte-Réparade, facing north and overlooking the hills of Luberon in Provance. It was taken over by the Baude Family in 2012 and administered by Emmanuelle Baude since then. With a passion for wine, Emmanuelle quit her job as a solicitor to make her dreams come true. Convinved that Domaine Tour Campanets had a great potential, she then put all her efforts in restoring the vineyard and took up the challenge to revive the making of wine.
Pale and copper-coloured this is more earthy and savoury than most Provence rosés. Medium-Bodied with strawberry, redberries and peach notes. Aromas of White flowers and a lingering, mouthwatering finish. - 90 points Robert Parker
1 x CHÂTEAU D'ESCLANS COTES DE PROVENCE WHISPERING ANGEL ROSÉ, 2021
This sublime vintage of Whispering Angel is a blend of the best grapes from the region, using grapes from Château d’Eslans and other local growers. The winemakers have created relationships with local growers to ensure the quality of their production.
Pale peach in colour, this 2021 wine very youthful with some pear drop character that will subside, a little cherry note and soft red berry fruits. On the palate Whispering Angel's trademark combination of elegant, cool precision with very easy-going, open and attractive fruitiness. Nicely textured, the raspberry fruit and edge of acidity is ripe but bone dry, and there's a hint of stony minerality adding to the sophistication of the finish. 90 Points Tom Cannavan Wine Pages.
